Manual Machinist – Lathe (turning) and Milling

We are looking to recruit a manual machinist to work in a busy machining center setting up and operating either a lathe or a milling machine with live tooling and sub-spindle producing components for a wide range of sectors.

What you’ll do:

  • Operating and setting up a Mazak CNC Lathe and Brother Milling machine
  • Using precision measuring equipment
  • Achieving daily targets
  • Work within tight tolerance settings

What you’ll need:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable – training will be given.
  • Experience in live tooling and sub-spindling is an advantage
  • Be able to read and interpret technical drawings
  • The desire to learn new machinery

What you’ll get:

  • From £13.65 to £16 per hour (DOE)
  • Monday to Thursday 08:30 – 16:30, Friday 15:30 finish.
  • 25 days holidays plus bank holidays
  • Overtime paid for the 1st 2 hours a day at time and a third and time and a half thereafter
