We are looking to recruit a manual machinist to work in a busy machining center setting up and operating either a lathe or a milling machine with live tooling and sub-spindle producing components for a wide range of sectors.
What you’ll do:
- Operating and setting up a Mazak CNC Lathe and Brother Milling machine
- Using precision measuring equipment
- Achieving daily targets
- Work within tight tolerance settings
What you’ll need:
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable – training will be given.
- Experience in live tooling and sub-spindling is an advantage
- Be able to read and interpret technical drawings
- The desire to learn new machinery
What you’ll get:
- From £13.65 to £16 per hour (DOE)
- Monday to Thursday 08:30 – 16:30, Friday 15:30 finish.
- 25 days holidays plus bank holidays
- Overtime paid for the 1st 2 hours a day at time and a third and time and a half thereafter
